Las Iguanas MK Press Night

Why wait for Friday when it comes to a fiesta? On Wednesday, my party-animal friend Vesna and I found ourselves Havana-good-time at the press night for the newly refurbished Las Iguanas. As if we needed an excuse to party!

Food Review: Calcutta Brasserie

Take Me to Church

It's been a long, long time since I attended church on a Sunday. In all honesty, it probably goes back as far as childhood years, curiously attending Sunday school. My parents aren't religious but I always wanted to know what it was like to go. This week I left my usual Sunday routine, including my staple roast dinner and went to church.

Food Review: The Wheatsheaf, Bow Brickhill

Summer sparks adventure, well it does for me anyway. I love nothing more than stumbling on a nice village pub on a bike ride or road trip, God knows there were plenty of pubs that caught my eye on my recent #GOcation.

Food Review: 185 Watling Street

There are not many pub restaurants you would choose to dine for breakfast, lunch and dinner, though 185 Watlington Street has become the place for all-day dining for the locals of Towcester since it opened in October 2015.

Dalloway Terrace Winter Wonderland

Stepping through the doors to enter Dalloway Terrace made me reminiscent of watching Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan step through the wardrobe to enter Narnia. Though I didn't have my fur coat or any Turkish Delight tucked in my pocket, I couldn't help but be mesmerised by the enchanting bright white winter wonderland...

Aubaine: French Haven In The Heart Of The City

All the hanging blooms of Spring Wisteria may be a distant memory with the fall of the Autumn leaves in bright oranges and browns. Though, Aubaine located in Selfridges is full of the brightness and pretty flowers of Spring, with the French bistro a haven for those seeking out brunch or afternoon tea.

The Swan Salford

I had never heard of The Swan at Salford or even driven through Salford prior to my first MK Bloggers event in August. The event, organised by Sophie Davis of Sophie’s Suitcase was a Bloggers Brunch to bring local bloggers in and around Milton Keynes together.

Revolución de Cuba - First Birthday Fiesta 🎉🍹💃

Last night my friend Nikki and I attended the first birthday of Cuban bar/restaurant Revolución de Cuba. Since opening twelve months ago, Revs de Cuba, as I like to call it, has transformed the somewhat derelict Theatre District and made it the place to be in Milton Keynes once more, becoming the havana in the heart of MK.
