✨ Joyful January Moments ⏩️ to see …..

January always feels like a year in itself, so much so that it can make you forget the little moments of joy. Here’s mine:

🏃‍♀️ I kicked off the year on NYD with a 5k PB & began marathon training. It’s a year since I graduated @redwayrunners beginners & it’s so great to give something back by helping this year’s recruits, as well as pacing at parkrun to help others achieve PBs.
❄️ loved seeing some snow & enjoying a relaxing spa break with my bestie, it was such a highlight
🥐 Brunching with the work fam, fun times with the best girls have meant so much this month 🫶

Obvs IG is a highlight reel & what you didn’t see was:
🐰 Sad times with trips to the vets for Woody (thankfully now ok 🙌🏻)
🔑 Locksmith call-outs which along with vets bills have been costly
🤯 Anxiety, feeling scattered & not knowing how to show up on socials when I’m not travelling

I am thankful I have been healthy this month as I know so many loved ones have been poorly & January can be a really tough month.

Cyprus mezzes ruined food for me 😢

To be honest, since visiting Cyprus food at home hasn’t quite been the same….

The mezzes in Cyprus are next level - The biggest feast we enjoyed was at @tochni.tavern in which in the blink of an eye each dish was magically replaced with a new one 😋

We tried our hand at a Cypriot Cooking Workshop (see me put to work on my stories) making yemista (stuffed vegetables), elioti (olive bread) and fava bean purée. We then dined on the dishes, including plenty more traditional Cypriot dishes: lamb kleftiko, halloumi, Kolokithokeftedes (fried courgettes with feta cheese), chicken souvla and fresh ravioli 🇨🇾

Until my next visit to a traditional Cyprus taverna, I’ll be at home dining on rubbery halloumi in my local peri peri restaurant…(you know the one…) 🐔

There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about my stay at The Headland Hotel 🤔 💭

So…I booked another stay! 🫶

Best known as Hotel Excelsior from The Witches, The Headland has its own coven of regular guests who stay at the hotel time & time again. Now I can say I’m one of them! One guest I spoke to even said he’s stayed for 6 weeks! 🤩

The Headland exudes grandeur, whilst offering home-away-from-home vibes complete with a beach-facing hot tub over Fistral Beach, friendly down-to-earth staff and did I mention the food…?!

RenMor, The Headland’s restaurant is a firm favourite from our previous visit, and this time we tried Adam Handling’s Ugly Butterfly also located in the hotel 👌🏻 Can’t wait to share more!
